Color Correction
The appointment most salons will not take
Correcting color is not the same job as applying it. Hair that has been boxed, bleached, or colored repeatedly does not lift evenly, and forcing it is how people lose length.
A correction here runs four to five hours and that whole block is yours. Sometimes it happens in one session. Sometimes the honest answer is two, and you will be told that at the consultation rather than halfway through.
Twenty-five years of doing this is mostly twenty-five years of knowing when to stop.
Before you sit down, you will know three things
- What it costs. You get a real price at the consultation, not an estimate that moves once your hair is wet.
- How long it takes. If the honest answer is two sessions instead of one, you hear that first, not halfway through.
- What it will actually look like. If a shade is not safe on your hair, you get told before, not after.
